With this being my most favorite release, I was curious to see what differentiates it from my other releases. While I had multiple varieties of the same beer in the release, it wasn't exactly the same beer, although it came out the same night. This was the first time I made the same beer twice in a row. It seems to do a bit better in larger quantities, as the numbers for the previous brews were always quite small, and this is the first time that we've sold even 100 gallons of this beer.
I know this is a family beer, and I know many people are not very excited about this kind of brew, but I did find myself enjoying it quite a bit. I've been tinkering with the recipe for quite a while, and I think this is the best one yet. It's much smoother and has more body. I made a few mistakes, as I forgot to do a barrel batch of this beer, which didn't seem to affect it as much as the first one.
I think the biggest difference is that I didn't use grains at all, which makes it much easier to make. I tried making a little spruce beer, but ended up having to add sugar to make the beer acceptable. I do think a honey beer could be made, if you have a house yeast and a honey that is low in alcohol, and I'd be curious to see how that goes.
You will see on the label that there is some alcohol in it. I actually think that it works well in the beer, as you get much more of a smooth mouthfeel, but I understand people's trepidation towards the higher alcohol content. I like to try new things, but sometimes I wonder if I'm taking it too far. I enjoy the experiment, but ac619d1d87
